Originating in 19th-century China, Mahjong is a captivating game of strategy, skill, and a touch of luck. Played with a set of 144 beautiful tiles, it challenges players to form sets and sequences through careful observation and quick thinking. Beyond the game itself, Mahjong has long been a cherished social tradition—a chance to slow down, engage the mind, and enjoy the company of friends.
At the New Canaan Field Club, we are pleased to host a weekly Mahjong gathering that brings this tradition to the heart of our community. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy a fun afternoon and build lasting connections with fellow members.
