J. P. McConnell – Paddle Director
J. P. is very excited to be returning to NCFC for his 6th season as the Director of Platform Tennis. He has 19 years of teaching experience working with both juniors and adults and enjoys competing in area tournaments as well. For the past 11 years, J. P. has been the Director of Tennis at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, NY. J.P. holds the highest certifications for both the U.S.P.T.R.’s and P.P.T. J. P. played NCAA division I tennis at Colgate University where he graduated with a B.A. and majored in economics.
Gary Squires – Junior Paddle Director/Assistant Pro
Gary has been a Head Pro/Director of Racquet Sports at private clubs in Westchester and Fairfield County for over 30 years. For the past sixteen years, Gary was the Director of Tennis and Platform Tennis at the Fox Meadow Tennis Club in Scarsdale, NY. During his tenure there, member participation in both men’s and women’s league play tripled in both tennis and platform tennis, and the size of the junior tennis program more than doubled.
Gary grew up in Rye, NY where he began playing tennis as a child at the Manursing Island Club. Gary was the captain of the Varsity Tennis and Squash teams at the Trinity-Pawling School and is a member of the Tennis Hall of Fame there. He played number one on the Varsity Tennis team at Hartwick College. Gary got his professional training at the John Gardner Tennis Ranch in Carmel Valley, California and is a PTR certified professional.
Carlos Longhi – Coordinator, Ladies, Men & Juniors
We are very excited to welcome Carlos to NCFC for his first season with us. Carlos is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil and most recently taught full time at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club as well as for the past 3 years with J. P. at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, NY. He has had an outstanding junior and professional career, compiling nine national titles in Brazil and 5 ATP points while competing professionally. He is known for his outgoing personality, work ethic, incredible racquet skills and dedication and looks forward to joining the NCFC team.
Viki Stoklasova – Coordinator, Women’s Teams & Clinics
Viki will be returning for her second season at NCFC. Viki is from Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. She began playing tennis at the age of seven. Viki won the Slovak National Champion-ship in singles and doubles four times. She is also a European Champion in doubles in the 14 and under category and was ranked #3 in the world in her age group. She graduated from the University of South Alabama where she received her MBA degree. She played Division I tennis for South Alabama in position 1 doubles and played position 1 in singles. She became an All American in singles.
Along with her extensive tennis experience she is also the best paddle tennis player in the country. She has won multiple national titles and regional tournaments with many different partners. Viki was the Director of Platform Tennis at The Lake Club in Wilton, CT before deciding to start a family with her husband Javier Ferrin. Viki recently welcomed her second child and now is the proud mother of two beautiful girls, Suvi and Pia.
