11/14/19: New Director of Tennis

New Canaan Field Club

  New Director of Tennis

Dear Members,

After a very thorough search and many hours behind the scenes over the last four months, the Search Committee is pleased to announce that we have signed our new Director of Tennis, Tim Brueggeman.

Tim was Director of Racquet Sports for over 20 years at The John’s Island Club, Vero Beach, Florida. He has also been Director of Tennis at the Iron Horse Golf Club in Whitefish, Montana, and was Tennis Director at Innis Arden for a summer. He is a USPTA Elite Tennis Professional.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing Management from the University of Louisville in 1987. Of course he played on their men’s tennis team.

Tim and his wife of 30 years have four children ranging from 16-29 years of age.

Tim will be starting at the Club in early April to get the program rolling. In the meantime, he will be working with the board setting up the Pro Shop, aligning the tennis staff for next season, and bringing his own touch to the Club.

Tim brings a tremendous amount of experience and management skills and we are thrilled to have him on board.

Mike Simko, President
